1. Data Mining Research Engineer

Hundreds of millions of users generate large-scale behavioral data on QQ & WeChat everyday. The rich user behaviors lay a solid foundation in user profiling and ads targeting. We are looking for a data mining research engineer to help Tencent advance our user behaviour modeling, and to work closely with ads targeting team to improve ads quality.

Responsibilities

  • Model, calibrate, and verify audience categories
  • Design algorithms to merge data from diverse sources to provide a coherent view.
  • Design algorithms to expand audience based on user similarity and social graph.

Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
  • Programming experience in Java or C++. Programming experience in Python is a plus.
  • Experience in natural language processing, data mining, or machine learning.
  • Experience in distributed computing and big data programming (MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, etc) is preferred.

2. Ads Quality Research Engineer

Tencent Social Ads strives to better understand our users, serve the best personalized ads and ensure an optimal user experience. We are looking for an ads quality engineer to improve ads ranking and advertisers’ returns on investment. You will work closely with ads user data mining team, CTR (Click-Through-Rate) prediction team, CVR (Conversion Rate) prediction team, and user experience team to improve advertising efficiency through large-scale machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Build large scale machine learning systems to process billions of training samples, and train models with billions of features;
  • Apply machine learning models to improve CTR, CVR, and other metrics.
  • Research in ads ranking mechanism, integrate different scores (pCTR, pCVR, pDislike etc.) to improve ads ranking and increase ads efficiency.

Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field.
